“Jeopardy” Host Alex Trebek Hospitalized After Heart Attack

Longtime “Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek was recently admitted into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA after suffering a mild heart attack.

According to Sony Pictures Entertainment, the host is in good spirits and undergoing more tests after the health scare that occurred on Saturday (June 23).

A source for the 71-year-old added, “He is expected to fully recover and be back at ‘Jeopardy!’ when production begins taping in July for the new season, the show’s 29th.”

Trebek has been the host of the show since 1984, and recently extended his contract until 2014. He was awarded for his efforts after the show won a Daytime Emmy yesterday for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show.
